Today Denzel Goolsby, WR/RB Bishop Carroll, announced via Twitter that he was committing to Kansas State.  His announcement comes two days after Kalin Heath announced his commitment, making that two RB commitments in as many days.

Goolsby is rated by 247sports.com as a 2-star and the 13th ranked player in the state of Kansas.  Rivals.com also has Goolsby listed as a 2 star, and lists him as 5'11", 190, running a 4.49 40.  Rivals also shows Goolsby as having offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, and Illinois St.  Missouri also showed some interest in Goolsby but hadn't made an offer yet.

Goolsby averaged 7.3 ypc his junior year, scoring 12 touchdowns.  He added 21 catches for 304 yards and 3 scores as well.  Ryan Wallace of gopowercat.com was on of the first to break the news, and he is predicting a move to receiver.   I'm not sure I see that with his size, and I think if anyone is going to move to receiver Kalin Heath is the likely choice given his size (6'-3" versue 5'-11").

In addition to making this the second RB recruit for the 2015 class, Goolsby also gives the Wildcats three players from the state of Kansas, as K-State is showing a real knack for out recruiting their rivals down the river for the in-state guys.  Let's hope this trend continues.

One last note, ESPN's page for Denzel has his last name spelled as Gooslby.  DISREPECT!!
