K-State to take on Georgia in Big 12/SEC Challenge

Schedule Announced For Fifth Big 12 / SEC Challenge

NCAA Basketball: Kansas State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

For the third time in the last four years, the Kansas State Wildcats will take on the Georiga Bulldogs as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge, as announced by the Big 12 Conference this morning.

The game, scheduled for Saturday, January 27th, will be in Manhattan this year. K-State is 1-1 all-time against Georgia, with each team’s win coming at the other’s home court.

The last time the two teams faced off, Dean Wade hit jumper with just 4.3 seconds on the clock to lead the Wildcats to a 68-66 win back on Dec. 5th, 2015.

Frank Martin’s South Carolina squad will host Texas Tech that day, and KU will be host to former Big 12 foe Texas A&M. John Currie’s new school will get to take on the Cyclones in Ames, and lets hope Hilton Magic greets our former AD warmly.
