A bunch of guys you might have been hoping to see won’t be present due to minor injuries, but that shouldn’t dampen your enthusiasm for today’s Purple-White Spring Game. JT did a wonderful job outlining what you can probably expect today on the field from both the offense and defense; now we’ll tell you how to go about enjoying it.

What: K-State’s Purple-White Spring Game

Where: Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Manhattan, Kansas. Stadium capacity will be limited to sections 1-17 on the west and south sides, due to ongoing construction work on the east side plaza.

When: Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00pm CT.

How to Attend: Tickets are $5, all seats are general admission. Parking is free in the stadium lots. The K-State Super Store will open at 10am, followed by Gates B, D, M, N, R, and V at 11:30am. Note also that your ticket entitles you to purchase $3 admission to the K-State/West Virginia baseball game which will take place at Tointon at 4pm, immediately following the spring game.

How to Watch: The game will only be available on KStateHD.tv, and subscription is required. The audio portion of the broadcast will be the same as the radio version (see below).

If you only sign up for one month in order to watch this game, we’ll only judge you a tiny bit — but consider this our annual sales pitch. If you have any interest at all in K-State’s non-revenue sports, and the time to spend watching them even periodically, an ongoing subscription is absolutely worth your effort. Many of the at-launch bugs have been worked out, and it’s a high-quality product; more importantly, every subscription helps to support K-State Athletics.

How to Listen: Wyatt Thompson, Stan Weber, and Matt Walters will call the action on a selected segment of the K-State Sports Network:

  • KVSV 1190 AM/105.5 FM in Beloit
  • KCLY 100.9 FM in Clay Center
  • KJCK 1420 AM in Junction City
  • WHB 810 AM in Kansas City
  • KMAN 1350 AM and KMKF 101.5 FM in Manhattan
  • KQZQ 98.3 FM in Medicine Lodge
  • KSAL 1150 AM in Salina
  • WIBW 580 AM in Topeka
  • KQAM 1480 AM in Wichita

Additionally, the broadcast will be carried on satellite radio, on Sirius 137 and XM 200.

That’s it! This is your live thread for the game, so if you’re watching from home please share your observations! It’s football time — for now.
