The game: The Wildcats (2-1, 0-0, nr/rv) hit the “Country Roads” again for their second game of the year outside of God’s Own Time Zone, traveling to Morgantown, West Virginia, to face the undefeated Mountaineers (3-0, 0-0, rv/rv). K-State is an undefeated 5-0 against West Virginia since the ‘Eers joined the Big 12 in 2012, while West Virginia won the only non-conference meeting, in 1930.
Last December K-State pulled off a 1-point victory, 24-23, in Manhattan. K-State kick returner scored the go-ahead touchdown (and last score of the game) on a kickoff return with almost 13 minutes left in the game.
Both teams were victorious a week ago, as the Wildcats shut out Missouri State in a weather-shortened game and the Mountaineers edged out BYU 35-32 on a neutral field.
Odds: The spread across several sports books at Friday noon has West Virginia favored by 2.5 to 3 points, with an over/under of 54. That amounts to a prediction of a 28.5-25.5 West Virginia victory
Kickoff: Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2:30 p.m. CDT, Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium (60,000 capacity) in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Television: Clay Matvik and Dusty Dvoracek will call the game, televised nationally on ESPNU.
Radio: K-State Sports Network with Wyatt Thompson, Stan Weber, and Matt Walters. The broadcast also will be available on Sirius channel 136 and XM channel 199.
Online: Live audio streaming is available at kstatesports.com.
