Per Kellis Robinett, who's done a fantastic job covering B.J. Finney's waiting process this weekend and who will likely have a must-read story later, the Wildcat center has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
B.J. Finney says he is headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent. Very excited about it.

B.J. Finney says the Steelers promised him a shot to start at guard. Pittsburgh is his favorite team. Fighting back tears as he explains.

Finney, one of the greatest stories in K-State history, will probably shift to guard for the Steelers, who already have Pro Bowler Maurkice Pouncey handling snaps. Finney's journey from a walk-on who only had the financial resources to pay his way for one year to try and earn his scholarship to a four-year starter at center for the Wildcats is well-documented, and honestly says more about him than any technical draftnik profile can.
Indeed, is there any matchup of player and organizational personality better than B.J. Finney and the no-nonsense, hard-working, everyman brand of the Pittsburgh Steelers? It's hard to imagine. If you missed our pre-draft breakdown on Finney, correct that mistake, and also be sure to check out our colleagues at Behind the Steel Curtain in the coming days for their reaction.
