For the 22nd consecutive year, a Kansas State Wildcat has been selected in the NFL Draft. With the 69th pick in the third round, the Seattle Seahawks have selected wide receiver/kick returner Tyler Lockett. Lockett is the tenth receiver taken in the 2015 Draft, and cleared the draft board ahead of Arizona State's Jaelen Strong.
The speedy and electric playmaker will step into a great situation with the two-time defending NFC champions, although now we get to experience the confusion of having both Tyler Lockett and Ricardo Lockette on the same roster. The Seahawks traded up 26 picks, giving up three lower-round selections to the Redskins, in order to get into position to take Lockett, indicating how serious their desire was.
Our congratulations to Tyler, who represented Kansas State in exemplary fashion for four years, and who now heads to the Pacific Northwest to spread the #EMAW gospel.
