Kansas State welcomes #6 Oklahoma to Manhattan today and maybe for the last time ever. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 PM, and yes, after three weeks of streaming, our Wildcats are finally back on regular television (FOX), as Jon Morse notes in the How To Watch post.
My heart, all bleeding purple, says it would be nice if we could send the Sooners off with a proper loss. But my head predicts carnage.
— Oklahoma is an 11-point road favorite. That doesn’t seem like insurmountable odds for the Wildcats, but I suspect the Sooners are more than prepared this time around. This could get ugly,
— Kellis Robinett surprises exactly nobody by picking Oklahoma to win.
— Our own Drew Schneider doesn’t think the matchups work in the Wildcats’ favor either.
— The coaching staff says Skylar Thompson is doubtful for this game, but you never know. He’s been practicing and looking good doing it. Who knows, but Thompson playing would not surprise me at this point.
— At least we still have schadenfreude on our side. Kansas State did not look great last weekend, but neither did area peers Kansas or Missouri. I’m fine with all three teams reversing their fortunes this Saturday.
Let’s go, Cats! Win the dang day! Or something.
