Football

The weekly awards keep rolling in for the Kansas State Wildcats after their victory over OU last weekend.

Chris Klieman got his own nod this week, being named the Dodd Trophy Coach of the Week as announced on Tuesday. Then a little later in the day, Jahron McPherson picked up his second national award and third overall for the week, being named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week by the FWAA.

Tuesday was also press conference day, and Klieman was joined by Jaylen Pickle (who had a great game against OU), Elijah Sullivan, Noah Johnson, and Skylar Thompson as they discussed last weekend’s win as well as the upcoming opponent.

Kellis Robinett’s story today is on the unsung players who helped K-State upset OU, especially the guys who missed most are all of game one.

Be on the lookout for this week’s Bring on the PodCats, as we discuss the win over OU and look ahead to this weekend’s match-up against Texas Tech.

Golf

The K-State men’s golf team finally returned to action, and carded two individual top-15 finishes on their way to 7th place as a team at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational. All 10 teams at the event were Big 12 teams, with the Cats finishing ahead of Oklahoma State (!) West Virginia, and Iowa State.
