Slate: Game Times Announced for K-State Football

We have times and TV for the first two games. This might actually happen y’all!

NCAA Football: Kansas State at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

There’s really only one piece of news for today’s Slate, but it’s a big one.

Yesterday, Kansas State announced game times and broadcast partners for the first two football games for the 2020 season. The Wildcats will open the season with a 2:30pm kickoff against Arkansas State on FS1, and then after a bye week, will face Oklahoma in Norman for an 11am game on FOX. Subsequent games will be announced on a 12- or six-day basis. Time to get excited!

And since we’ve got actual schedules now, it’s finally time to start previewing the football team. We started our position previews this morning with the situation in the QB room, where Skylar Thompson is set to become the first K-State QB to be the primary starter in three-straight seasons since....Carl Straw, who started three-straight from 1988-1990.

Be on the lookout for more previews as we gear up for the start of the season.

Today’s Sports Extra takes a look at incoming WeberCats freshman Selton Miguel, who was the only high school player on the 2017 Angolan U-19 Basketball team, and faced off against several current NBA players.
