We’ll lead off today’s late Slate with the big news. After going undrafted in the WNBA Draft earlier this spring, K-State star Peyton Williams has decided to sign with an overseas club. But it’s not just any overseas team, it’s Spartak Vidnoje, a team based out of Moscow, Russia that has won four Euro League Women championships and has featured famous USA stars like Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi. Williams says shes ready for the challenge, but she’s still working on getting the language down.

Over at K-State Sports, they’ve got an update on summer baseball related to the BatCats. They also included that Evan Marshall and Nick Martini were selected to their respective 60-man player pools for the shortened 2020 MLB season. Marshall, with the White Sox, is even part of the initial 44-man active roster.

After a pause in voluntary workouts caused by COVID-19 and protests, some K-State football players offered an update to 247 Sports.
