Football
This has turned into quite the hot week for Kansas State football recruiting, and it’s all been from the Sunflower State. It started on Monday, as Coach Klieman and company got a verbal commitment from Hays, KS product Gaven Haselhorst. Then, yesterday afternoon, Coffeyville, KS product Darell Jones, a speedy defensive back, pledged his services to the Cats.

Not to be outdone, a few hours later Manhattan, KS product Damian Ilalio, a defensive tackle in the mold of Will Geary, also gave his verbal pledge to the hometown Wildcats.

Hopefully we’ll have a more complete breakdown for you of both commits in the near future.
Golf
The only other thing we have for you today is today’s Sports Extra courtesy of K-State Athletics. Today’s post features women’s golf assistant coach Jared Helin, who posted a Top Four finish in this past weekend’s Kansas Amateur event, hosted this year by Colbert Hills.
