Man, it’s been a rough few weeks. As the sole “IT guy” at a small college, it’s been a crazy stressful few weeks for me. And I feel bad because I’m not on the “front lines” like our medical professionals, so should I really feel this stressed? Yes, no matter what my own depression and anxiety issues try to tell me. So my message today is take care of yourself. This is stressful and crazy for everyone, and you need to not feel bad for feeling stressed or anxious. And if you need help, don’t be afraid to ask — we’re all in this together, and we’ll get through this together. #Family

This morning CBS Sports reporter Jon Rothstein (who has a very high accuracy rate), reported that K-State and Nebraska have agreed to a “multi-year series” that will feature a game in the Sprint Center next year followed by a game each in Lincoln and Manhattan the following two years.

K-State Athletics announced this morning that due to continued concerns over the current COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Summer Catbacker Tour has been cancelled.
Today is the anniversary of one of the great K-State sports moments of the last decade, the 2010 Regional Semifinal game between your Kansas State Wildcats and the Xavier Musketeers. The game that brought you “HE’S IN SHAPE”. The first Sweet 16 victory for the Wildcats since 1988. The peak of Frank Martin’s (and Bob Huggins) resurrection of K-State basketball.

We WILL be having our watch party/game thread later this evening to both get our “sprots fix” as well as commemorate this event on it’s anniversary.
Apparently, on Friday at 5pm CDT, CBS Sports Network will also be airing the game as part their overall airing of old tournament games, and it’s highly possible that Frank Martin will live-tweet the game (thanks, Dan!!). Since CBSSN is such a niche channel, we likely won’t have a second game thread for Friday, but stay tuned just in case things change.
Either way, here at Bring on the Cats we will be watching the game TONIGHT. 7pm CDT. BE HERE. GO CATS!

If you lived, worked, or traveled through Oklahoma, southern Kansas, SWMO, and anywhere else inside their “bubble”, you’ve undoubtedly come across Braum’s, and many of you have probably even enjoyed the sweet nectar that is Braum’s ice cream (yummy). Unfortunately, the founder, Mr. Bill Braum himself, passed away yesterday at the age of 92. Go away, 2020.
