It’s an abbreviated, late slate today, due to COVID-19-induced mayhem.

The big news of the past 24 hours was that fourth-year K-State basketball assistant Brad Korn has been named head coach at Southeast Missouri State. Korn’s relationship with Coach Weber traces back to his high school days, when he was recruited to play for Southern Illinois. Korn worked primarily with the post players and is credited for the development of Dean Wade and DJ Johnson, among others.

The Mercury provided an update on K-State journalism professor Andrew Smith, who says he hopes people will take the virus seriously and do their part to slow its spread.

Watch Party

Wednesday night at 7:00 CDT, we will gather to celebrate the tenth anniversary of K-State’s epic double-overtime defeat of Xavier in the 2010 Sweet Sixteen. A preview and game thread will post at Bring on the Cats, along with a link to the broadcast at 6:00. Come watch Jacob Pullen, Denis Clemente and their cohorts put on a show, and relive Gus Johnson raving about the spectacle and having a hard time staying in his play-by-play seat.
