Previously
Yesterday marked 73 days until the return of Wildcat football. BracketCat marked the day with a look at Christian Duffie.
Basketball
Incoming freshman DaJuan Gordon may have just missed playing for the Team USA U19 World Cup in Greece this summer, but he more than held his own against top competition. He also had the opportunity to play in front of, and be coached by Bruce Weber, which may give him an advantage heading into next season. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)
Track and Field
A slew of individual nation track and field championships begin tomorrow and seven K-State athletes will compete in their respective country’s championship. Five Wildcats will compete in the Jamaican Senior National Championship, including defending NCAA Triple Jump Champion Shardia Lawrence. Meanwhile Cooper Schroeder will compete in the USATF U20 Championship, while Antoni Hoyte-Small will compete in the Barbados Nationl Championships. (kstatesports.com)
Finally, we’ll end with this Calvin and Hobbes comic which nostalgically reminds us of the idyllic summers of our youth, where the days were never long enough and the summers always too short. Hopefully, everyone gets a chance to hearken back to those youthful days sometime this summer.
