For the fantasy epic nerds among us, the recap of this week’s Game of Thrones episode went up in the wee hours of the morning. Some blogger should get a life. Only two “games” left before show is done forever.
K-State Sports
It’s another light news day in the K-State sports universe, but the one true news item could prove to be a big one, as Coach Weber officially announced the signing of NJCCAA honorable mention All-American David Sloan. At 6-0, 200 pounds, Sloan appears to be cut from the physical mold of Kamau Stokes. He led the NJCAA in assists the past two season (9.5 and 10.2 per game) for his high-scoring John A. Logan College team in Cartersville, Illinois. He posted 24 double-doubles and three triple-doubles in 64 games there. Sloan also made 50 percent of his shots, including 37 percent from 3-point range. On a team that appears to need an injection of scoring and facilitating punch, Sloan may be exactly what the Wildcats need. Coach Weber and his staff beat out Louisville and Georgetown for his services.
Sloan joins a recruiting class that includes Antonio Gordon (PF, Lawton, OK), DaJuan Gordon (SG, Chicago, Ill.) and Montavious Murphy (PF, Houston, TX) and is ranked 43rd nationally by 247 Sports.
