Yesterday, Luke Thompson and Eric Rubttom visited with Adam Grosbard from The Orange Register for a NCAA edition of Bring on the PodCats.

Drew Schneider followed the podcast preview with a written breakdown of the Wildcats chances against the University of California at Irvine.

Basketball

It’s rare for a player like Barry Brown to take time away from the gym even during an off week, so the 48 hours he spent relaxing away from the court during the Wildcats break between the Big 12 tournament and the NCAA tournament was a welcomed opportunity for Brown and the Wildcats. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)

The likely loss of Dean Wade throughout the tournament has led many to make Kansas State the trendy upset pick, but Kamau Stokes believes as long as the Wildcats “handle our business, there won’t be no upsets”. (Ryan Black, Manhattan Mercury)

Finally from men’s hoop land comes Kellis Robinett’s weekly Q&A which begins with a short commentary on Dean Wade’s Kansas State career. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)

Wildcat senior Kali Jones has never played in an NCAA tournament game. Coming from the Juco ranks her first post-season experience was last year’s NIT tournament run. That changes this week as Jones and her fellow Wildcats will suit up Friday for a 1 pm game against 8th seed Michigan. (Justin Toscano, Manhattan Mercury)

Baseball

The BatCat look toward conference play after splitting a two game series against Canisius. The win yesterday leaves the Wildcats a game over .500 as they head to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys beginning Friday at 6pm. (Julia Jorns, The Collegian)

Football

It appears there is a good to decent chance Dalton Risner will be heading home to begin his professional career. The Denver Broncos are bringing Risner in for a pre-draft workout so our sister SBNation site, Mile High Report, worked up a pre-draft scouting report on Dalton Risner and how he fits in Denver.
