The MittieCats have now won three in a row following the home loss to Kansas, this time dispatching the Oklahoma State Cowgirls 59-48. The Wildcats played stifling defense all night allowing Oklahoma State to shoot only 24% from the field, and holding them to 5-27 from the three point line. Next up for the Wildcats is a road game against West Virginia.

Football

Chris Klieman got another recruiting victory yesterday, but it was a bit unusual. Former Wildcat, now current Wildcat Tyler Burns has returned to the team as a walk-on. The junior left the team prior to his sophomore season, after playing mainly on special teams his freshman year. His return will provide depth to a depleted running back corp following the departure of Dalvin Warmack, Justin Silmon, and Alex Barnes.

It wasn’t all good news for K-State football yesterday as E.J. Thomas, a freshman DB, officially entered the college football transfer portal. Thomas becomes the second player following Alex Delton to transfer from Kansas State this off-season.

Lastly, some former Wildcat news. Dalton Risner began his journey to the NFL this week with the start of Senior Bowl practice ahead of Saturday’s game.
