We are at the antepenultimate day. Football is nearly here, Manhattan is buzzing, our long slog through the Kansas State football off-season is nearly over. Rejoice!
Here at BotC we’ve got plenty of #content both now and coming up to hold you over until gameday. But if you need some some real-live #EMAW action in your veins right away, your RV (damn straight) Wildcats soccer team is in action tonight on the west coast, taking on the No. 9 Santa Clara Broncos at 9:30pm CDT. The match cannot be seen live, but you can listen along on 101.5 KROCK in the Manhattan area, or online at kstatesports.com.
The VolleyCats are also in action before Saturday’s football opener, as they will look to continue their hot start against Marquette as part of the Hamilton Classic hosted by Saint Louis at 3:30pm on Friday. The Friday match will not be available for viewing, but you can listen along at 93.3FM/1350AM in the Manhattan area, or online at kstatesports.com. The Saturday match with the host Billikens at 12pm will be available online at ESPN+.
Back in the land of football, we have content from all over. Kellis Robinett at the Eagle/Star took a look at the K-State offensive line, where “good” is no longer good enough for the experienced unit. Over at the Topeka Capital-Journal, Tim Bisel takes a look at the K-State backfield, who is pushing to become one of the nations best units this season. Up north, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reported on the Kansas natives on the roster for the South Dakota Coyotes, and they are looking forward to playing a game in their home state.
Here at BotC, we have BracketCat’s preview of running back Dalvin Warmack, who could see increased production this season under the new coordinators. And the we have an appearance from TB who previews the offensive line, a unit that is definitely far from “offensive”.
Check back later today as well, as we will have previews of the special teams and receivers units, as well as this week’s edition of Bring on the PodCats featuring K-StateOnline.com’s Matt Hall, and BracketCat’s roster previews for countdown day #2.
