Wildcatland grieves today for one of our own. Matt Snyder, the 22 year old son of Sean Snyder, died late Wednesday night according to a report from the Manhattan Mercury. Everyone here at Bring on the Cats sends their condolences to Sean and Wanda Snyder, the extended Snyder family, and everyone affected by Matt’s passing. RIP Matt
Women’s Basketball
Kansas State led Oklahoma last night for much of the game. Unfortunately for the Wildcats they didn’t lead at the buzzer, as the Sooners rallied to win 76-71. (Brent Maycock, The Capital Journal)
The whole game had a weird vibe throughout including Oklahoma guard Gabbi Ortiz literally shooting “lights out”. (Greg Woods, The Manhattan Mercury)
Men’s Basketball
#24 TCU vs. K-State will be the game of the weekend, with the Wildcats hoping to capitalize on the momentum they created by throttling the 4th ranked Oklahoma Sooners. (Luke Meredith, AP)
Track and Field
The Track and Field teams are off to hot starts in 2018 with both teams claiming the Triangular trophy by beating both Kansas and Wichita State. (Julia Jorns, The Collegian)
Miscellaneous
Wyatt Thompson, the Voice of the Wildcats, was named the 2017 Kansas Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association. (Gerard Wellbrock, Hays Post)
