BracketCat keeps us running downhill towards football season, checking in at 52 with start-studded incoming freshman Anthony Payne.
The big news out on Wednesday was the announcement from the Big 12 office, as the Wildcats, led by a trio of juniors, had four named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team as chosen by media representatives who cover the league. The four selections, FB Winston Dimel, OT Dalton Risner, DB D.J. Reed, and DE Reggie Walker give the Cats the third-most selections on the honor unit (Robinett, Star).
One Wildcat put his talents on display yesterday on Twitter, as Matthew McCrane showed that he is fully recovered from an injury that shortened his 2016 season (Robinett, Star).
After another successful season, and with a lot of momentum heading in to the 2017-18, the K-State women will be getting a treat of sorts. K-State announced yesterday that the Wildcat women will be headed to Europe in August to play four games while heading through Italy, Switzerland and Austria from Aug. 2nd through 13th. NCAA bylaws allow foreign trips every four years, and the Wildcats last left the USA as a team in 2013. A summer trip also allows 10 extra practice sessions in July.
