Injuries could create a QB controversy

With Jesse Ertz out with shoulder surgery, a battle for the back-up spot could break out during the spring game.

Injuries are nothing new to Kansas State or their fans and this spring appears to be no different, with coach Snyder estimating at least 6 offensive starters, and 3 defensive starters will miss the Spring Game due to injuries. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)

With returning starter, Jesse Ertz, sidelined this spring due to shoulder surgery, Alex Delton has been taking the first team reps, while redshirt freshman Skylar Thompson has been handling the second team. The BatCats moved back over .500 by sweeping the double header against New Mexico. The first win was a slugfest that saw Jake Scudder smack a 3-run homer, which was his second on the day. Game two featured a pitching dual, which saw K-State hold off a late rally by New Mexico to win 3-2.
