We are now under a month from kickoff, and fall practice is finally underway for the Cats, as both football and women's soccer began practices on Wednesday. But before practice started, the K-State football coaches got at least one more offer out, to JUCO DE Micheal Clemons, as reported yesterday by Gracey.
As mentioned, K-State football reported to fall camp Wednesday. Kellis Robinett at the Wichita Eagle takes a look a five things to watch as camp opens, while over at the Topeka Capital-Journal Ken Corbitt has a nice profile of Preseason All-Big 12 DE Jordan Willis. Taylor Eldridge at the Wichita Eagle reports that KU finally beat K-State at something in football, as in-state recruit Kenyon Tabor chose KU over K-State, mostly because K-State wanted him at tight end and not receiver. And to put fuel on the fires, Mitch Sherman at ESPN takes a look at dream and nightmare scenarios for the Wildcats, and that nightmare... ::shudder:: (h/t wildcat57).
Back to positive news, K-State volleyball will head into the 2016 season with a preseason honor winner as Kaite Brand was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon. This is her third preseason All-Big 12 nod, and fourth preseason honor overall after earning preseason Co-Freshman of the Year in 2013.
