Welcome to Saturday Wildcat fans. Wildcat00 is out today, be never fear, we've still got your Slate.
The big story today is the tip-off of the Midwest Regional for The Basketball Tournment in Chicago. Your very own Purple and Black (K-State Alumni) are taking on The Region in a 4-13 match-up that should tip off at approximately 2:15pm CT (You can find the full schedule for today's TBT games at their site). Bring on the Cats will have live in-person coverage of the game, as our own Gracey Terrill will be on-site in Chicago. The game should be broadcast on Facebook Live via Whistle Sports. So get up, IT'S GAMEDAY.
In other news, BracketCat continued his countdown to kickoff yesterday with one of hte more intriguing prospects from the 2016 recruiting class, running back Mike McCoy. Kellis Robinett via the Wichita Eagle drops a K-State Q&A about the upcoming football season, and seems to echo many of the things we've already talked about around here in the comments. Down south, the Oklahoma Daily has a preview of the K-State Oklahoma game in Norman, but does not offer any sort of prediction for the game.
In what amounts, this year, to a final major warm-up for the Olympics, several Wildcat tracksters are competing in the NACAC U23 Championships in El Salvador. Friday was day one of the event, and the Wildcats took took the top spots in both men's and women's high jump.
