We celebrate 70 days to kickoff with BracketCat and #70 redshirt senior lineman Will Ash.

Last week, the basketball team began preparation for a 10-day trip to Europe this summer. First, the team will travel to Rome for three days with games against LCC International University of Klaipeda, Lithuania and BC Silute. The Wildcats will round out their Italian trip with a game against Italian Select in Tuscany and against the Kosovo national team in Como. After that, the team will head to Switzerland and close out competition against BBC Lausanne.

Weber noted that the last time Kansas State toured abroad was in 2012 and the off-season experience allowed that team to gel and mature enough to win a Big 12 title in Weber's first year. He thinks this year's efforts could yield similar results.

Former Kansas State rowers Beth DeMars and Madi Haney have been named assistant coaches for the rowing team for the 2016-17 season. DeMars was a graduate assistant this past season and is being promoted to full-time assistant immediately. Haney will only start on August 1, when a new NCAA rule allowing rowing teams to have four full-time coaches will go into effect.

Kansas State may not be a consensus Top 25 team (yet), but the program did make one preseason Top 10 list. The Powercat logo and the field at Bill Snyder Family Stadium make up one of the top 10 field designs in college football, at least according to this informal poll from the SEC Country blog.

It's hot out there, so stay cool! Happy weekend!!
