Yesterday, we attempted to discern if Jon has completely gone off his rocker, as Jon and Will Butler of Underdog Dynasty took a look at the case for Texas State to the Big 12.
The big news out of Manhattan is the release of game times for the Wildcats non-conference games. The Stanford game will kickoff off on Friday, September 2nd at 8pm CT (6pm PT), which should help alleviate some of the dreaded west-coast time advantage, and will be broadcast on FS1. The Florida Atlantic game will kickof on Saturday, September 17th at 1:30pm and will be brodcast on FSN, and the game against Missouri State on Saturday, September 24th will kickoff at 6:10pm and will be broadcast on K-StateHD.TV.
ESPN also dropped a smattering of off-season football content that included a couple of Wildcats. First up, Max Olson ranked the top 5 all-time Big 12 DB's, and Terrance Newman came in second. Then Jake Trotter raked the top 5 all-time Big 12 Returners, and Tyler Lockett got snubbed came in second after some squirrely little dude from Texas Tech. David Allen came in fourth on the list that probably could have had at least one more Wildcat on it (Brandon Banks comes to mind). K-State also popped up on the list for road trips as Brandon Chatmon picked the Week 10 game in Manhattan as his destination game of choice for the week. Finally, Chatmon also took a look at third-down conversion rate from the Big 12 since the current lineup was in effect, and the Wildcats still rank second at 44.9%.
In a return for last season's game in Bramlage, the men's basketball squad will travel to St. Louis (home of current Wildcats DJ Johnson and Xavier Sneed) to face the Saint Louis Billikens on December 3rd, 2016. Game time has not yet been announced.
