Thank Goodness For Spring Football

Very little happening in Wildcatland, but football gives us something to write about anyway.

Well, with spring practice underway, football is back to providing some daily content. Kellis Robinett at the Wichita Eagle drops off his look at Justin Silmon and the work he's done to become a more complete running back. Over at ESPN, Brandon Chatmon has some takeaways on what might help the Wildcat footballers return to their winning ways.

There had been some rumblings, but it is now official: Alvin Brooks has resigned from the Wildcat basketball team to take an assistant position at Baylor (Corbitt, Capital-Journal). The move marks the first change to Bruce Weber's staff since he arrived in the Little Apple. On a positive note, assistant coach Chester Frazier has been named to the NABC/Under Armour 30-under-30 Team.

The K-State track and field team is celebrating International Week. Wildcat field star Sara Savataovic wrote the story for K-State Sports, so be sure and check it out.

The Master's will tee off today from Augusta National, and former Wildcat golfer Robert Streb is looking for a better finish than his first try at the storied event (Maycock, Capital-Journal).
