Heading into this year's men's basketball season everyone knew the freshmen class would need to step up if there was to be any sort of post-season play, and with a possible NIT bid on the horizon it's clear the freshmen class had a positive impact of this years team. (Ken Corbitt, Capital Journal)

Recruiting for 2017 has already started and K-State is in the mix for DT Damion Daniels. Danies also has offers from Oklahoma State, LSU, Texas, Michigan, USC, and UCLA. (Max Olson, ESPN.com)

For the second straight week, a K-State player has earned player of the week honors. This week Jake Wodtke won the Big 12 player of the week award by hitting .727 with 12 RBI during the Kansas State's weekend series. (KSN.com)
