Since we're a little late today, we'll pass on our normal pleasantries and jump right into the CONTENT. Yesterday, JeffP brought us the Visual Box Score from the K-State vs TCU game, and this one is much better than the last several. Jon also updated us on the goings-on from the various tournaments around the country.
The K-State SID notes that we have a busy weekend ahead for K-State athletics. On the women's side, the basketball team will be taking on West Virginia in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City, rowing is also in action in OKC, and the Wildcat tennis squad will take on No. 58 Denver and No. 50 SMU at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium today and Sunday (respectively). Over on the men's side, the Diamond Cats will be looking to improve above .500 during their home-opening series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and the roundballers will be facing a very tough test down in Lubbock against a Texas Tech squad that is still fighting to earn an NCAA tournament bid.
Some extra notes from around the K-State universe: Pete Grathoff at the Kansas City Star takes a look at some social media aftermath of the Wildcats win on Wednesday night. Kellis Robinett (also via the Star) talks about the Wildcat women and their quest to get back to the Big Dance, and also takes a look at the baseball team as they gear up for a big homestand. And Ken Corbitt at the Topeka Captial-Journal takes a look at the Wildcats two biggest names, Breanna Lewis and Kindred Wesemann.
