Football
Kansas State’s game at Baylor on November 19th was placed on the Six-Day Window, meaning we will have to wait til next Sunday to have any idea what time the ‘Cats will play. The options for kick-off are: 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 6 p.m., or 7 p.m., and the game will be shown on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU or FS1. So the networks really narrowed it’s options down for us. (Ken Corbitt, Capital Journal)
Kansas State’s secondary is worse than last seasons. And while everyone blamed the poor performance on injuries, this season has no such caveat. Which leaves us to conclude that maybe the defense isn’t being put in a position to succeed, or that the Wildcats simply don’t have the talent many of us thought. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)
Men’s Basketball
The Wildcats are preparing for a hectic start to the season, where-in the Wildcats will play six games in 16 days. (Ken Corbitt, Capital Journal)
The coaching staff and the players know the excuses of having a young team are gone, and will need to lean on their experience from last season, and playing in Europe to carry them to the tournament. (Dave Skretta, AP via Salina Journal)
Women’s Basketball
The women hit the century mark in last nights match-up against Newman. The Cat’s rained fire and brimstone down on the Newman Jets, beating them 100-33. They open regular season play Friday against Chicago State. (Staff Reports, KC Star)
