Bye Week and Basketball

New, comments

It’s a quiet Monday morning in Wildcatland

Good morning Wildcats! Jon’s busy dealing with #LIFE right now, so you get the JV Captain this Monday morning. That means no long soliloquy this morning, I’m just not that kind of Monday morning writer.

Today’s barren Slate comes from the heart of enemy territory, as your Slate writer this morning is stuck in Lawrence waiting on his car to get serviced. Pray for me.

So as is common on Monday mornings, there’s no new football news out of Vanier. Expect some updates later today to come from the Big 12 coaches teleconference. This week being a bye week also doesn’t help generate any news, though it should help a weary and injured Wildcat squad heal up and get ready to finish strong.

Basketball officially starts this week though. The women wrap up their exhibition play tonight against the Newman University Jets, and the men open their real schedule this Friday evening against Western Illinois.

The women’s golf team will wrap up their fall season beginning today in Dallas in the Trinity Forest Invitational.

That’s it. Enjoy your Monday!
