It’s Basketball Season at Kansas State

Already? Man, time flies.

Bruce looks like he tried to go to Call Hall and they were closed.

Nothing new from us yesterday, but keep an eye out very shortly for this week’s Kicking the Tires. As for news, not a lot so we’ll just start popping:

Football

Ken Corbitt of the Capital-Journal takes a look at K-State’s leading receiver (in all three major categories — yards, catches, and TDs), Dominique Heath.

Over at the Star, Kellis Robinett offers up his three-minute preview.

Luke Manderfeld at the Iowa State Daily reports that new Cyclones coach Matt Campbell is modeling his program after one with which you’re all intimately familiar.

Men’s Basketball

Robinett’s also been lurking around Bramlage, and he says that D.J. Johnson’s goal is to lead K-State in minutes this season.

And on that note, it’s officially basketball season. Well, unofficially, we suppose, but there’s a basketball game tonight. K-State takes on the second-best school in Kansas at 7:10pm on FS Kansas City, as Pittsburg State drops by Bramlage for the season’s first exhibition contest. If you’re outside of Kansas, this is only available on ESPN3, although if you have a sports package you might get it on an ESPN Extra channel.
