The big news yesterday afternoon was the announcement by four star wing Xavier Sneed, that he will be playing basketball for Kansas State. Pan was all over the announcement. Later in the evening I took a look at his hudl.com video and gave some initial thoughts on Kansas State first commit for the 2016 class.
Lastly, TB comments on the Big 12 Sportsmanship policy, and attempts to clarify what is unacceptable and acceptable under the new sportsmanship policy.
Ken Corbitt at the Capital Journal writes that the bye week came at the perfect time for the Wildcats. Snyder acknowledged the 'Cats made headway during the off week, but also stated this team has a ways to go. We know Bill looks for improvement every day from his players, and hopefully the offense took that to heart and made vast improvements.
The Big 12 has your football recruiting round up from last week. Kansas State has had a relatively quiet couple of months, but they are scheduled to host Louisiana CB Coney Durr. Durr plays for Dutchtown High, one of the powerhouse football programs in the state. Durr is also planning to visit Minnesota in October, but he really needs to ask himself if he wants to go play in Southern Occupied Canada.
Xavier Sneed was high on Illinois' radar, so it feels pretty good to beat out the Illini for Sneeds' talent. Both the Daily Illini, and The Champaign Room examine Sneed's commitment from Illinois perspective.
