Gameday is here! This is the Wildcats' first non-conference road trip since that seminal game at Miami in 2011 that really got the Snyder 2.0 ball rolling and gave birth to the Optimus Klein meme. Unfortunately, Kansas State will be without certain key players, as detailed in the Week 2 injury report from PurpleBrunette and KSUEMAW!
The recent success of the UTSA Roadrunners is remarkable considering how new the program is. Larry Coker, who won a national championship at Miami, has built a program out of literally nothing. But he's faced the challenge with drive and determination, and genuinely believes the program can do great things (Kellis Robinett, Kansas City Star).
UTSA fields a potent hurry-up style offense, and the Wildcats defense will need to step up to avoid the upset (Associated Press, via FOXSports).
The Alamodome has not been especially kind to Kansas State (Andrew Hammond, K-State Collegian). The last two trips there have yielded painful losses, and the team would really like to exorcize those ghosts and come away with a victory (Liz Heath, Collegian).
It's an early kickoff for Kansas State today, and Jon Morse has your all-important HOW TO WATCH post here. An open thread for the game will be up shortly.

The volleyball season is off to a good start. Last night at the Middle Tennessee Invitational, Kansas State dropped the second set but recovered to beat VCU 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-10, 25-18). Junior Brooke Sassin led the team with 19 kills, 12 of those in the final two sets. She also hit .239 for the match and had 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.
