The QB battle heats up

Round and round it goes; where it stops nobody knows

I have a feeling he knows more about the QB situation than he's letting on.

K-State LATE! Because we care can!

Less than 4 weeks to kickoff, y'all! BracketCat gives us the weekend doubleheader of the 2015 roster countdown: #28 Jarvis Leverette, Jr., and #27 Tanner Langvardt.

Jon Morse gets us ready for the season by asking the important questions in the 2015 preseason conditioning, i.e. what would Kansas State football be like if Bill Snyder had never coached here? Our Benevolent Despot also checks in with the New Jersey and NESCAC conferences in his on-going Division III preview.

The quarterback battle at Kansas State is still a thing, at least according to Bill Snyder's comments at Kansas State's annual media day (K-State SID).

Nothing has changed and there is still little to separate Jesse Ertz, Joe Hubener, and Alex Delton (Associated Press, via FOXSports).

And what about highly touted junior college transfer Jonathan Banks? Well, he figures to be in the mix as well, and appears to have impressed the staff with his work ethic and ability to pick up the Wildcats' complex playbook (Ken Corbitt, Topeka Capital-Journal).

On the other side of the ball, Topeka native Will Geary hopes to make an impact on the defensive line and thereby honor his father, Mike, who passed away earlier this year (Kevin Haskin, Capital-Journal).

Katie Brand and Kylee Zumach, already All-Americans, were named to the Big 12's preseason all-conference team. This is the second such honor for Brand while Zumach made the team for the first time, but that is no surprise considering she was the most feted and accomplished freshman in school history last year. This is the first time since 2012 that more than one Wildcat has been named to the preseason team.

Happy Sunday, all!
