Kansas State snags a pair of recruits, and we check in with an old friend.

Bracket trudged along, as Andrew Nichols received the honor of being the next player previewed in the countdown to kick-off.

Let's start with some exciting recruiting news. Last week WR D.J Render of North Cobb high school in Cobb County, Georgia verbally committed to Kansas State.

The big football recruiting news came down yesterday, as the seventh ranked running back (according to 247sports.com) announced his commitment to the Wildcats of Kansas State. He spurned offers from Northwestern, Missouri, Minnesota, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Kansas.

Pat Forde of yahoo sports, has 40 interesting scheduling observations for college football. I'm most surprised by the fact that Kansas State plays all it's games on artificial turf this season.

Kelly McHugh caught up with former Wildcat Clent Stewart, currently the head basketball coach for Bartlesville High school in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in a Kansas State Sports Extra.

It was also announced yesterday that Kansas State ranked in the Top 35 in basketball attendance for eight of the last nine years.
