We mark 93 days to kickoff with the latest edition of BracketCat's Football Roster Countdown: #93, walk-on defensive end Davis Clark.
Yesterday, Jon Morse brought us news that KStateHD.tv is changing providers and what this could mean for those of us who subscribe to the content.
Basically, Kansas State is launching a new, fully digital platform for all Kansas State sports content. Fans will now be able to access and view content across various devices, including streaming content on mobile devices. This seems like a good improvement and the transition to the new system should be relatively seamless, except for the subscription issue Jon discussed in his post.
Kelly McHugh caught up with B.J. Finney to chat about his experiences as a rookie at camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but this SE piece is really more of a social announcement. In the spring, Finney became engaged to former Kansas State rower Amanda Weishaar. He proposed in front of Anderson Hall, and they'll be getting married in Manhattan early next year.
Head coach Jeff Mittie has added to his staff again, as Stephanie Stoglin-Reed takes over as the new coordinator of recruiting operations for the team. Stoglin-Reed, recently an assistant coach at Texas State, was previously also the director of player development for the men's basketball team at North Texas. She played basketball at Kentucky and Memphis before finishing her career at Houston Baptist, where she earned (among other honors) NAIA All-American status.
The men's golf team is off to a great start this summer. Trent Evans won the inaugural Konza Prairie Amateur Championship at Colbert Hills over the weekend, and his teammates Connor Knabe and Kyle Weldon have made it past the Local Qualifier rounds for the 115th U.S. Open. They will move on to the Memphis Sectional Qualifying event where they will play for a spot in the Open's field.
