K-State Slate: 5.23.15 - BatCats eliminated

The baseball season is over. It's going to be really slow around here...

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas State's season ended with a 3-1 loss to Oklahoma in the Big 12 baseball championship. A pair of two-out runs for the Sooners at the top of the ninth inning sealed the loss and eliminated the Wildcats from contention.

The BatCats played well in the loss, with starting pitcher Corey Fischer playing well into the ninth inning. But lefty pitching from Sooners' reliever Jeffrey Curran proved to be too much for the bats.

Kansas State won 27 games this season, the most in a season other than the Big 12 championship season of 2013.

Heading into the summer, there will be plenty of preview capsules from various sources, and we'll try to keep track of all of them for here. For now, here's the latest on Kansas State predictions for 2015 (Pete Fiutak, College Football News).
