K-State Slate: 3.19.15 - Dancing with the Lumberjacks

Internet difficulties, so you're getting a bunch of links today, and that's about it.

Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Apparently, something big is about to go down in the world of college basketball. I don't know much about it, but here's Jon Morse with the downlow on all the NCAA Tournament 2015 shenanigans you could possibly want, including up-to-date TV listings.

Our beloved Lumberjacks are all set to dance, and hope to be Cinderella at this ball. (Connor Letourneau, The Oregonian). Brad Underwood says his team has swagger, even if they're just "everyday guys." (Kyle Goon, Salt Lake Tribune).

But boo, heavy rain has led to the cancellation of the Lumberjacks baseball game against Kansas State. The BatCats will be back in action for the Big 12 opener against Texas on Friday at Disch-Falk Field in Austin.

But enough about the Lumberjacks. We're still Wildcats, so we're going to pay close attention to the WNIT. Kansas State hosts Akron in the first round in Manhattan, and the team is hoping for its 15th home win of the year.

The tennis team closes out its spring home schedule this weekend with matches against West Virginia on Friday and Iowa State on Sunday. The team will honor senior Amina St. Hill in Senior Day festivities before the match with the Cyclones.

The Kansas State track and field team kicks off its outdoor season this weekend with the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth. This is the first of four outdoor meets this season.
