There was a lot happening at BOTC yesterday. JeffP dropped his Visual Box Score of the men's BB game against St. Louis. If you haven't checked this out yet, it's pretty awesome so you really should!

Jon and Luke teamed up for Round 6 of their College Football Bowl Picks; and our Benevolent Despot is doing much better in bowl picks than he did during the regular season.

Last but not least, Luke brought us the Bring on the Podcast, featuring Doc Harper, editor of Arkansas Fight

The College Football Playoff (FBS) starts today! Stay tuned to BOTC for all your coverage and Open Game Thread needs, as our coverage of the Orange Bowl will go live at 1pm (GOTZ) and coverage of the Cotton Bowl goes live at 5pm.

In the Liberty Bowl universe, it's apparent Arkansas will be keeping a very close eye on Kody Cook due to his versatility as a receiver and passer (Kinder, Mercury; Robinett, Eagle). The Razorbacks are also trying to be prepared for anything the Wildcats could throw at them, even an up-tempo attack (Robinett, Eagle). And Boston Stiverson is healthy and ready to end his career on a positive note after finishing last season with a gruesome leg injury that came late against UCLA in the Alamo Bowl (Kinder, Mercury; Corbitt, Cap-Journal). And finally, the Wildcats "Long Season" at least ends with a trip to the Liberty Bowl and a chance to finish above .500 (Haskin, Cap-Journal).

The Lady Cats home conference opener didn't go as planned last night, falling 84-79 to Iowa State in Bramlage. The Cats trailed by 15 in the third quarter, but their furious rally in the 4th was just not enough to come back (Rivera, Cap-Journal). The loss snaps the Wildcats seven-game win streak, and is only the second loss of the season.
