Weekend Edition Comes Late

It's been a slow weekend, and with the holidays comes crazy schedules.

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

So we missed you all yesterday, rather I did, because I failed to get your Slate to you. Not that you missed anything, but would have been nice for me to help show our appreciation to our dedicated readers. So I'm making sure today's edition gets to you, even though it's already afternoon, because the staff wants to make sure that we don't forget you twice in one weekend! So I hope you've enjoyed your holiday weekend so far, and I hope you enjoy the abbreviated Slate today!

As I mentioned, slow weekend. Jon and Luke brought us Round Four of their "entertaining" bowl picks. Look for Round Five in the next day or so.

There is nothing newsworthy going on in Wildcatland, so much so that it appears as though all the K-State beat writers were able to take a holiday break as well. Well, Joshua Kinder at the Manhattan Mercury found time to get nice little story together about Kody Cook and his versatility.

Stay with us, friends, the Wildcats will return to action on Tuesday Dec. 29th, so there is light at the end of this dark-purple tunnel!
