We started yesterday with a scathing article denouncing the title of the trophy presented to the winner of K-State vs. Kansas. The Governor's cup is trash, and needs a new name. Personally I'm partial to The Johnny Kaw Trophy. Thanks to SirChuck for bringing this overlooked issue to our attention.
Jon finished yesterday with a recap of the CFP Poll where-in the top four spots remained unchanged.
Dana Holgorsen admitted to watching more Kansas State offense this season, and using that as model for his new ground based offensive game plan. (Allan Taylor, MetroNews)
Even though Kansas State will likely make a bowl regardless of the outcome on Saturday, both the players and coaching staff would rather win out to be on the safe side. (Ken Corbitt, Capital Journal)
Bill Snyder mentioned in his press conference yesterday that he did not expect Dante Barnett to take part in the senior day activities on Saturday. This means Barnett will likely be awarded a medical red-shirt and will return next season for his fifth year. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)
The work is never done. Kansas State expects to break ground on the new band corner following the conclusion of the season. This upgrade will fully enclose the stadium, and will feature a new video board which will mirror the northwest end board. Total cost for the project is expected at $15 million. (Kellis Robinett, KC Star)
