Cre Moore charged, and basketball news.

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

The big news coming out of this weekend for Kansas State (other than #phantomfirst) was the arrest of Cre Moore. Moore was charged yesterday with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Bill Snyder was asked about the incident on the Big 12 coaches teleconference and said he knew of the incident and how he'd handle discipline, but he wouldn't announce what type of discipline Moore will face. The October 17th game against Oklahoma was announced as a 2:30 pm kickoff on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN 2. (Staff reports, Salina Post)

Bill Snyder confirmed he "wasn't aware" of the officiating mistake that gave Oklahoma State a first down late in the first half. (Jason Kersey, The Oklahoman/NewsOK.com)

With everyone leaving the basketball team this past off season like it was the Titanic sinking, Wesley Iwundu is the lone veteran presence and leader of the Kansas State basketball squad. He's saying all the right things too, as he looks to become more assertive both on and off the court. (Ken Corbitt, Capital Journal

Coaches using metaphors for their teams isn't a new phenomenon, but using Winnie the Pooh as a metaphor for your team seems a bit...different. However, that's what head coach Bruce Weber is doing, saying this team has "got some Tiggers". Whatever the metaphor, my hope is this team plays like it cares, something that wasn't seen much last season. (Kelly McHugh-Stewart, K-Statesports.com)
