On a more sober note, former K-State football player and politician John "JB" Littlejohn passed away recently. A memorial will be held Saturday.
K-State tennis has a new head coach. Danielle Steinberg, formerly of McNeese State, is the seventh head coach for Wildcats tennis, and was the Southland Conference 2014 Coach of the Year. Under her direction, McNeese State had its first winning season in a decade.
K-State track and field athletes added to their accomplishments this week. Thirteen athletes as well as the women's team received academic honors from the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Big Game Bob took a swipe at Nick Saban after the Alabama head coach blamed the team's Sugar Bowl loss on lack of motivation. As pissing contests go, this one promises entertainment, if nothing else.
Also, apropos our thoughts on whether Snyder will actually get to lift the playoff trophy, we now have championship odds for any team with half a chance.
