Winning is fun.

Kansas State beat Texas A&M 71-64. Here are the usual recaps for the game:

The Wildcats always seem to find some magic (read: hot shooting) at the Sprint Center in December. (Arne Green, Salina Journal)

Nino Williams led the team with 17, followed by Thomas Gipson with 14 points. Wesley Iwundu and Marcus Foster each had 10 points, and Iwundu had a ridiculous one-handed dunk that the crowd is probably still excited about.

This was a quality win lacking in quality at times. (Sean Keeler, FoxSports)

Regardless, it will be interesting to see if this December win turns into the same springboard as the win over Florida two years ago.

The women's basketball team beat Grambling State 61-38, behind a powerful first half surge. Deborah Meeks led the team with a career-best 16 points, including a three at the buzzer. Freshman Shaelyn Martin joined her in the double digits, with 11 points, also a career-best. The four-game homestand for the Wildcats continues on Monday against Abilene Christian.

There were bowl games yesterday. Bill Connelly recaps the best moments of the first day of the season.
