On the final play of the third quarter, Jake Waters hit Tyler Lockett for a 16-yard completion. That's important because it gave Waters 196 yards on the evening... which is five more than he needed tonight to overtake Josh Freeman for the all-time K-State single season passing yardage record.
Congrats, Jake!

We call attention to this because the race for top conference is actually far, far narrower than the Worldwide Leader would like for you to notice. The Big 12 and SEC are almost in a dead heat; look at the difference between the Big 12 and Pac-12 to see the stark reality.
Finally, someone's gotten us a GIF of that brutal smackdown Debo laid on UTEP's star running back. Watch it over and over.

That's what K-State defense looks like. Too bad we're losing.
