Tennilius Cornell Denson (b. Nov. 23, 2001) is an athletic defensive back from Cedar Grove High School in Atlanta, Georgia, who is majoring in business and did not redshirt in 2020.
Denson saw action in seven games last year — including a start in the season finale against Texas — and was one of nine true freshmen to play. He carded nine tackles on the season, and set a career high with five tackles and recorded a tackle for loss against the Longhorns.
He earned All-State honors from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and All-Region 5-AAA honors as a senior, helping the Saints accumulate a 13-2 record and a Class AAA state title.
Denson also helped Cedar Grove to win a state championship in 2018 with a 14-1 record as he earned first-team all-state honors from the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
A highly touted recruit, he picked K-State over offers from Akron, Boston College, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Florida A&M, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Houston, Kansas, Kent State, Liberty, Memphis, Miami, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, South Alabama, Syracuse, TCU, Tennessee State, Troy, UAB, UNLV, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Youngstown State, as well as interest from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Illinois and South Carolina.
Denson previously was committed to Pittsburgh, but de-committed in November 2019. His lead recruiter was running backs coach Brian Anderson.
