NOTE: Kansas State has elected to advance players’ classification even though the 2020 season did not affect eligibility. Those who wish to take advantage of this extra year will be listed as a (“super”) senior again after their original eligibility would have been exhausted.

Cameron Paul “Cam” Cotton (b. May 6, 1998) is a preferred walk-on tight end who redshirted in 2017 and did not see any game action in either the 2018 or 2020 seasons.

Although he did take snaps against Bowling Green as a reserve tight end in 2019, Cotton continues to project mainly as a likely scout team player in 2021. He is majoring in finance.

He played under head coach Steve Hamilton at Elk River (Minnesota) High School, where he helped the Elks to earn a 13-0 record and a Minnesota Class 5A state championship in 2016.

Cotton earned honorable mention all-district honors playing both tight end and outside linebacker. He is the son of Brent and Janet Cotton, both of whom attended K-State.

Brent Cotton was a three-year letter-winner at tight end for the Wildcats from 1985 through 1987, while the former Janet Madsen lettered two years in basketball for the Wildcats in 1987-88, earning honorable mention All-Big Eight honors in 1988.

She made the first field goal by a women’s basketball player in Bramlage Coliseum history.
