Riley Petz (b. Feb. 16, 2002) is a preferred walk-on wide receiver majoring in agribusiness from Cheney High School who redshirted and did not see any game action in 2020.
Petz played under head coach Shelby Weharman at Cheney, where he earned first-team all-state honors as a senior from The Topeka Capital-Journal (on offense) and The Wichita Eagle (on defense) as he helped the Cardinals to advance to the state semifinals.
He was named 2019 Kansas Class 3A Co-Offensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas.
Petz had 39 catches for 989 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior, to go with 99 carries for 943 yards and 13 scores, and also returned a kickoff return for a score and blocked a kick.
