Kansas State at Texas Tech: Open Game Thread

The Wildcats are in Lubbock to face the Red Raiders, with both teams looking for a win in 2021.

Well 2021 didn’t start super well for the Wildcats. After getting down by as many as 18 points, the Cats clawed back and made a game of it against the visiting Horned Frogs before falling short in the end. That will probably be the case many more times this season.

But it’s time to turn the corner. At least, head south and see what happens. Road teams have been stunningly successful so far this season, and the Big 12 is no exception. Even the Wildcats lone Big 12 win came on the road in Ames against the Cyclones. For the Wildcats sake, at least tonight, lets hope that trend continues.

Short and...short today because we’ve got the early evening slot, with a 6:01pm CT start that can be seen on ESPNU with Chuckie Kempf (play-by-play) and Robbie Hummel (analyst) on the call. You might be able to stream the game via WatchESPN if the game isn’t blocked in your area.

If you don’t get ESPNU, or can’t access the stream, you can listen to Wyatt Thompson (play-by-play) and Stan Weber (analyst) call the game on much of the K-State Sports Radio Network, and also available online via the TuneIn App and at, and satellite radio on XM 380.
