Texas v Texas Tech

For at least a few minutes last Saturday, it looked like Kansas State and Texas Tech would be meeting this week on the heels of two shocking upsets over the Big 12 favorites. Unfortunately, the Red Raiders collapsed late and lost to Texas in overtime, but they still made it clear winning won’t be easy for the Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Of course JT and I took some time to look back fondly on K-State’s second straight win over Oklahoma, then Viva The Matadors writer Emory Lyda gave us an idea of what to expect from a potent Red Raiders offense led by quarterback Alan Bowman. He throws to some big targets and has a nice compliment at running back in SaRoderick Thompson, but as usual, the critical question will be whether Texas Tech’s defense can stop Skylar Thompson, Deuce Vaughn and the rest of a suddenly capable Wildcats offense.
